GPL MATCH REPORT : Medeama records victory over Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Caost

Medeama traveled to Cape Coast to face Ebusua Dwarfs for the opening game of Ghana premier league match day 1 to record a 1-3 victory.

The mauve and Yellow lads had the first foul when Ebenezer Ackahbi was fouled with barely 2minutes into game.

Dwarfs looked more dangerous on attacks but Medeama had the first chance  5 minutes into action with Prince Opoku’s free kick flew off the cross bar.

Dwarfs had an 8  minutes a corner kick but the ball was ballooned away. Ackahbi had a great chance to score from a counter break but missed the post by inches.

Prince Opoku had a good chance to score when he stole the ball but went down in search of a penalty but the referee had none of that.

Medeam had a free kick on the 18th minute close to the penalty box when Agyenim Boateng was brought down after overtaking his marker but the ball was wasted.

Ebusua Dwarfs Gaisie Albert received the first yellow card of the match with 33 minutes of play time for a reckless challenge on Agyenim Boateng.

Two more  minutes was added before the first half ended 0-0  at Cape Coast.

Daniel Egyin was shown the yellow card on the 54th minute before the home side had a Free kick but the chance flew over the bar.

Medeama open the scoring against Ebusua Dwarfs through Ebenezer Ackahbi when he rounded off the goalkeeper to slot home the openerrr, Prince Opoku Agyemang added the second goal to silent Cape Coast.

The home side was awarded with a penalty to pull a goal back from Gaisie

Substitute Nana Kofi Babil completed  a sublime finish to hand Medeama a 3-1 lead.

But the goal scorer had a yellow card for taking off his shirt.

Medeama had fantastic start to the season as they picked first maximum points on the road.
