Great Olympics-Hearts of Oak: Penalty awarded by referee legitimate- Coach Slavko Matic

Hearts of Oak coach Slavko Matic has no qualms with the referee for awarding a penalty to Great Olympics in matchday 19 of the Ghana Premier League.

Defender Samuel Ashie Quaye scored from the spot-kick to hand Olympics all point at stake on Wednesday night.

Speaking after the game, the Serbian trainer admitted the penalty decision was right though he wasn’t all that impressed with the performance of the referee at large.

“If I start to talk about referee is not good, plenty fouls in the first half like we played basketball today. We cannot play especially the first half; you can’t cover anything else you will get a red card at the end. We brought in a new striker to score goals but we didn’t score”

“We lost for nothing, penalty it was yes! But if I talk about referring today it is not good for us. Personally I prefer not to talk” he said.

Hearts of Oak are now 6th on the table with 28 points after 19 matches into the campaign.
