In a surprising turn of events, it has come to light that Great Olympics initially showed a lack of interest in resolving the floodlight situation that marred their match during week nine at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Eric Alagidede, the General Manager of Nsoatreman FC, shed light on this concerning revelation, shedding a new perspective on the recent game.

The match, played yesterday, witnessed an interruption due to the absence of functioning floodlights, plunging the stadium into near darkness and severely compromising visibility.

This hiccup forced an impromptu halt in the proceedings. It wasn't until later in the game that the floodlights were finally switched on, allowing the match to resume.

In a tense showdown, the host, Accra Great Olympics, ultimately emerged victorious with a final score of 2-1. Nsoatreman scored in the 15th minute through Mohammed Rahaman. Emmanuel Antwi netted twice in the 56th and 77th minute to give the home side the victory.

"Let me place on record at a point in time when we were fighting I got angry with Accra Great Olympics because they weren't prepared to side with us," Alagidede told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"We were playing with you and there is darkness and we told you if this is the case then we should all officially go and protest to the match commissioner that the game if there is no light we can't continue.

"They were not interested in that and you want us to believe that you didn't have a hand in all this they were absolutely not interested,"
