Great Olympics have unveiled former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu ahead of the start of the betPawa Premier League campaign.

The experienced midfielder joins the Dade boys on a one-year deal and is expected to play a huge role for the club.

The former Black Stars player's rich experience in the game will be key for the young players in the team this season.

Before his official unveiling, the tough-tackling midfielder had guided Great Olympics to GHALCA Top 6 triumph, beating Bechem United on penalties.

The move brings the midfielder's inactivity to an end. The 31-year-old last played competitive football with Chinese club Qingdao FC in December 2021.

He left Qingdao in January 2022, and it took him more than six months to find another club.

Agyemang-Badu has a wealth of experience, having played at the highest levels of the game.

He played in the Italian Serie A for Udinese for eight years. Agyemang-Badu has also played for Hellas Verona and Turkey's Bursaspor, Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea.

Agyemang-Badu announced his retirement from international football in 2020. He won 78 caps for Ghana after making his senior debut in 2008.

Meanwhile, he has ruled out a return to the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
