Belgium boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed Eden Hazard could take part in the Red Devils World Cup qualifier against Gibraltar on Thursday.

The 26-year old has been on the sidelines since undergoing ankle surgery after fracturing it during international training in June.

The Chelsea forward has yet to take part in any of the first three Premier League games, but he did play the Blues U23 last week, and Martinez is hopeful he can play a role for his country.

"First and foremost I think where Eden is that every day we get a bit more information and that is how we are going to treat the situation," Martinez said.

"Eden played a game to show he would be available for the national team against Everton in the U23's. He played over 70 minutes, you could see him growing into the game. That gave us a lot of information.

"If you were going to ask me will he be available for the Gibraltar game, I consider that he has a great possibility to be involved."
