SpVgg Greuther Fürth is attempting to retain loan attacking midfielder Ragnar Ache beyond the summer.

The attacker is presently on loan to the second division from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 24-year-old, who is under contract until 2025 after the loan, has switched up the pressure in recent weeks. In the last seven games, Ache has scored four goals and assisted two. Rachid Azzouzi, the club's sports director, has long advocated for his retention.

"I've been with Markus Krösche [Eintracht's sporting director] since November in talks. Even if he didn't perform that well back then, I saw what's possible,” Azzouzi said.

Azzouzi isn't shocked that Ache found his form despite battling a few injuries.

“He was injured for a long time before and then you need a lot of games. And hardly any other club can offer him this opportunity in such a good environment as we can,”
