Guardiola Lauds Sergio Aguero's Performance After FA Cup Demolition of Huddersfield

Manchester City and Pep Guardiola were left feeling very satisfied after beating David Wagner's Huddersfield Town 5-1 at the Etihad on Wednesday night.


Things didn't get off to a great start for the Citizens, as Claudio Bravo was nutmegged by Harry Bunn, putting the Championship side in front- still,Guardiola was positive, despite the error, saying: "Even in the moment (when we conceded) we were playing quite good, we made good things against a good team.

"We are happy because we're in the quarter finals. I was impressed with Huddersfield in both halves - they have good quality players. We missed a lot of the last passes. But okay - we knew how tough it could be and we play in a good performance."


Sergio Aguero scored twice and provided an assist for Pablo Zabaleta during the rout, and despite recent speculation about the striker's future at the Etihad, Pep gave the striker a glowing report post-match.

"As a Barcelona fan, I'm sad that we'll miss the perfect trainer for Barcelona," Guardiola said. ''In his three years they have played unbelievable football. They are the best team in the world.Thank you for all he has done in three years at my club."
