The Stars are at their lowest ebb since the 2014 FIFA World Cup and are currently placed third in Group E of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification after drawing 0-0 with the Cranes of Uganda and succumbing 2-0 to the Pharaoh's of Egypt.

It is alleged that Grant defied the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) orders not to travel to the United Kingdom a day after tlosing to Egypt in Alexandria.

The GFA instead wanted him to stay and scout for local players in the GHALCA G6 ahead of the 2017 AFCON in Gabon come January.

"On this issue I don't want to talk anything about the technical staff," Gyan told Goal.

"I will plead that you pardon me on this question because I'm not comfortable with it," he added.

Grant, 61, has a contract with Ghana that ends in February 2017.
