Hannover releases Kingsley Schindler after his wife gave birth to a son

The 27-year-old had the best reason to skip the training at Hannover 96. Kingsley Schindler became a dad for the first time on Tuesday. His wife Ashlee gave birth to a son.

Hannover 96 coach Kenan Kocak speaking to the media said: “He asked me if he could stay with his wife. Of course, I agreed to that,"

During training, Schindler was replaced on the right attacking side by Orrin McKinze Gaines. The American made his professional debut last Friday in the goalless game against Paderborn.

Besides Schindler, Dominik Kaiser was also absent. The captain complains of knee problems. Should Kaiser have to pass in Dusseldorf, Philipp Ochs could move into midfield. He was allowed to run alongside Genki Haraguchi and Jaka Bijol in the training game.

Kingsley Schindler joined Hannover 96 last summer on loan from Bundersliga first tier side FC Koln.
