Harry Kane still believes Tottenham can catch Chelsea in the title race and has used the example of the New England Patriots to show how even the most unlikely of sporting triumphs can happen.

And speaking to TalkSport, Kane has likened the Patriots situation on Sunday to that of Tottenham now, as they trail Chelsea by nine points.

"I think Chelsea are catchable," Kane said."At the moment the gap is nine points, that's only three wins."

"When you watch things like the Super Bowl, when a side is 25 points down with less than a half to go and comes back to win, that gives you the inspiration it is possible.

"I watched it all and only had four hours' sleep before training on Monday, because Tom Brady is a role model for me. I'm a fan of his.

"The way his career started ” people not really believing in him ” and his self-belief and drive to win to become the greatest of all time. He's someone I look up to."

Kane is hoping he and his Tottenham teammates can use Brady as an exampleof why to not give upin the title race, and claims other side - including Chelsea - will slip up.

No game is easy and Chelsea know that. All we can do is win our games and see what happens.

Tottenham are currently second in the table - a position they held up until the final day of lastseason until Arsenal overtook their north London rivals. But Kane says he and his teammates aren't thinking about that.

We don't focus on finishing above Arsenal. But we want to get as high as possible. We're second and we want to fight Chelsea as far as we can.

We were disappointed last year because we should have finished second and didn't. This year we want to put that right."
