Belgium forward Eden Hazard has sets his sights on trying to become the best player in the world, having completed his big-money move from Chelsea to Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old has ended a seven-year spell with the Blues to head to the Santiago Bernabeu, having scored 110 goals in 352 appearances for Chelsea, who he helped to Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup successes.

I will try to be the best player in the world here.

And Hazard is clear about what his ultimate objective is to try and achieve during his time with the Spanish giants.

He said after being introduced to fans in Madrid: "I will try to be the best player in the world here…and win many titles here.

"I have been a fan of Madrid since I was a child and I have been dreaming of this since I was little, I always supported Real Madrid.

"Everybody knows that Zinedine Zidane was my idol and that now he's the coach, that is a very important factor, but I've always wanted to play for this club.

"I'm in the best moment of my career, between the ages of 27 and 32. The dream has always been there and it all started after the World Cup, but I spent another year at Chelsea, it was a great year for us - this was the best time to sign for Real Madrid."

Last season Real finished in third place in La Liga, were beaten by Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey and were eliminated from the Champions League by Ajax at the last-16 stage.

Real are 11/8 to win La Liga next season, while they can be backed at 8/1 to triumph in the Champions League.
