Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder has heaped praise on Ghana star Mohammed Kudus following his top performance in the game against SC Cambuur.

The talented attacker climbed off the bench over the weekend and scored to help his team to secure three points on the back of a 4-0 victory.

Speaking in a post-match interview to ESPN, Alfred Schreuder said although Mohammed Kudus may not be playing more, he is a great player.

“Because Mo is just a basic player for Ajax. He may not always be in the starting line-up, but he is just a great player,” the Ajax manager shared.

Alfred Schreuder added, “You can also see against Cambuur what he brings to the team: a lot of pace, a lot of dynamics. But unfortunately for him, Ajax has a lot of good players.”

In recent weeks, Mohammed has struggled to earn more playing time with Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder benching him for other players.

After pushing for a move away from the club, it now appears things will change for the Ghana poster boy as the season progresses.
