Heart of Lions are aiming to upset Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the opening game of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
The domestic top-flight will commence this weekend, with Kotoko expected to take on the Ghana Premier League returnees at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday evening.
The Porcupine Warriors are poised to change the narrative this time having endured a torrid season last-term after finishing 4th on the league standings.
But Fatawu Salifu, who is the head coach of Heart of Lions has set sights on beating the record Ghana Premier League holders.
“We know Kotoko is a big team, we respect that but we are all playing in the Premier League and we will ensure we pick points. They know what we can do, we are determined, we are going all out for the game and we are going to make sure that at least we return home with not less than a point” he said.
