Heart of Lions coach Bashir Hayford has stressed on the importance of his outfit victory against Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League as they battle against relegation.
Lions secured their first away win in the Ghanaian top-flight last Sunday after triumphing over Dreams FC in Dawu.
The Kpando-based club inflicted a 2-1 win over the Still Believe lads at the Theatre of Dreams to snatch maximum points.
The win ensured Lions move out of the relegation drop and are currently a place above relegation. They are 15th on the league standings with 44 points.
Speaking after the game, the experienced Ghanaian trainer asserted his outfit victory against Dreams FC will go a long way to help the team as they battle against relegation.
“It was a crucial match that we wanted at least for the first time annex the whole three points at away. It wasn’t easy but by the grace of God we’ve been able to pick the three points which is going to help a lot. Although, we have not come out of relegation completely but definitely it is going to help us” he said.
Heart of Lions will host league leaders, Samartex in matchday 31 of the Ghana Premier League.
