Heart of Lions part ways with Coach Fatawu Salifu amidst season struggles

Heart of Lions, the Kpando-based football club, has officially severed ties with their head coach, Fatawu Salifu.

The decision, reportedly reached by mutual agreement, comes in the wake of the team's challenging performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

Heart of Lions, which had spent the last eight years in the Division One League, has found the transition to the Premier League more demanding than anticipated.

With a record of eight draws and five defeats in the first 14 matches, the team currently languishes in the 18th position. The struggle is evident in their points tally, a mere eight points that place them in a precarious position.

The official statement reads: "Heart of Lions Fc and Mr Salifu Fatawu have mutually agreed to part ways. The club thanks coach Salifu Fatrawu for his role in ensuring its qualification to the Ghana Premier League. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours”

The announcement comes amidst a period of introspection for Heart of Lions, as they strive to regain their competitive edge and secure a stronger footing in the Premier League.
