The Administrative Manager of Hearts of Oak, Hackman Aidoo says the Phobians will file a formal appeal against the Disciplinary Committee’s decision to ban the club on Tuesday.

Hearts have been fined GHC 12,000 and also been ordered to play their next three home matches behind closed doors.

This was after violent home fans threw objects onto the pitch and held match officials hostage after their 3-1 defeat to Wa All Stars at the Accra Sports stadium last month.

Also, the club’s spokesperson Kwame Opare Addo and chairman of the chapters committee Barima Atuahene, who is a board member, have each been banned for 24 months and fined GHc 6,000 each.

However, Aidoo who describes the punishments as too harsh has disclosed that they will put in an appeal on Tuesday.

“We have decided to appeal against the decision so we have three days that’s from today up to Tuesday to put in the appeal and that is what we are working towards”.

“It’s a harsh decision but I expect the playing body not to be down ahead of this weekends game because these are board room issues and so we will deal with it at the management level.” Aidoo told Starr FM Sports.

Hearts will trek to Berekum to face Berekum Chelsea in a match week 11 fixture at the Golden city park.
