Hearts appoint Portuguese Coach Sergio Traguil

Accra Hearts of Oak have announced the appointment of Portuguese trainer Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil as the head coach of the junior teams of the Club. The Portuguese on his arrival in the country will take charge of the Auroras (U-20) and Royal Oaks (U-17) teams of the club.

A statement signed by Hearts Communications Manager, Kwame Opare Addo said the Portuguese trainer will arrive in the country on Friday with his personal assistant and will take charge of the youth teams on Monday.

The statement explained that the new arrangement is part of a long term strategy to lay a very solid foundation for sustainably competitive, efficient and successful club.

"Under this arrangement, Mr Traguil's assistant would be responsible for scouting and other supportive technical tasks while local coaches will assist in the actual coaching of the two teams and also as assistants to Mr Traguil.

"Mr Traguil and his team would be expected to help develop a strong youth team from which players would be tapped into the first team."

The statement also entreated all Phobians to support the new arrangement amid rumours Mr Traquil is a replacement for Japanese trainer, Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
