Former Chief Executive Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Harry Zakkour says the club will not retrogress if majority shareholder Togbe Afede XIV leaves.
The outspoken football administrator feels his former club will still flourish without the support of the current board chairman steering the affairs.
Acting managing director Vincent Odortei Sowah recently claimed that the exit of their majority shareholder will have a great repercussion on them due to his immense contribution.
However, Odotei’s assertion did not go down well with the tough-talking administrator and has labeled it as something bogus.
"Hearts is a big team and can never collapse," Harry Zakkour told Kumasi based Silver FM in an interview.
"Hearts of Oak is like a root club and Togbe has just come in recently. He must look for the right people to run the affairs of the club. Sowah was just making some comments which were irrelevant and I was greatly disappointed in him," he fumed.
The vociferous football administrator cum politician did not spare Togbe Afede for running a one-man show at his former club.
The number one critic of the Asogli Paramount Chief stated: "We the ex-board members have never been invited by Togbe. Alhaji Hearts, TT Brothers, Nii Ayi Bonte and I are not allowed to come near the team,"
"If he wants to succeed at Hearts, I think he needs to consider a lot of things as Hearts of Oak cannot be run on one-man show," he concluded.
