The forward and the club have decided to terminate their contract by mutual consent ahead of the start of the new season.

Bakai has failed to cement his place in coach Kim Grant's team after joining the senior side from the junior team.

The Phobians took to their Twitter handle to announce the termination of the contract.

"The Hearts of Oak management has mutually terminated the contract of striker, Selassie Bakai. We thank him for his professional conduct during his stay with the Club and wishes him well for the future," the club tweeted.

The youngster becomes the third player to leave the club after Malik Akowuah and goalkeeper Ernest Sowah.

Hearts have started preparations already and have been playing friendly matches including the 4-2 win over Patron FC on Wednesday.
