Hearts of Oak assistance coach Abdul Bashiru gives positive injury update on midfielder Glid Otanga

Hearts of Oak assistant coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru has provided a positive injury update on midfielder Glid Otanga ahead of their game against Berekum Chelsea.

The Congolese midfielder sustained an injury on the bridge of his nose after getting involved in a collision against Accra Lions on Wednesday.

The Phobians succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Accra Lions in matchday 28 of the Ghana Premier League to miss out on a win in four of its last five games.

Ibrahim Issah’s strike was enough for Accra Lions to secure their first-ever win against the Ghanaian giants.

Hearts have been scheduled to play against Chelsea at the Berekum Golden City Park on Saturday, May 4 in desperate need of a win.

And giving an update on Otanga’s injury, Abdul Bashiru confirmed he will be available for the clash against Chelsea this weekend.

“Anytime there is no Otanga, we face a lot of problems but I think he will be ready before the Chelsea game for sure.” He said after game.

Hearts rank 12th in the league standings with 35 points and Accra Lions move to third place with 43 points after beating Hearts.
