Hearts of Oak board member, Thomas Esso has urged the agitated supporters of the club to remain calm following the recent happenings at the club.

Some supporters were angry after the club's elimination from the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday.

Hearts needed to overturn a three goal deficit from the first leg in Mali but struggled to find the back of the net, until the 89th when Caleb Amankwah scored the game’s only goal.

Hearts board member Vincent Sowah Odotei and National Chapters Committee (NCC) chairman for the club Elvis Herman Hesse were involved a heated argument which saw seen in a video that sent viral.

The duo was arguing with each other at the VVIP area and on Monday, Hesses was arrested by the Ministry Police Station to answer questions on a report filed against him.

"I want to condemn in no uncertain terms what happened on Sunday between the supporters of the club and two board members who were kept hostage. We saw viral videos and pictures of properties that were destroyed which is uncalled for," Thomas Essor told Happy FM.

"We have laws that govern the club and the country as a whole and there are proper procedures supporters of the club can use to get their problems solved.

He added, "I would entreat the supporters to back and reflect on their actions and come to render a sincere apology for their actions so we can have a peaceful club."
