Hearts of Oak board member Vincent Odotei Sowah is urging calm amid the club’s unimpressive performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Phobians are currently 8th on the domestic top-flight standings with 16 points after 14 matches so far this season.

Hearts of Oak succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to sworn rivals Kotoko last Sunday but Odotei is urging cool heads as they aim to resolve their unimpressive campaign.

“Hearts of Oak's goal is to be successful in everything we do, and this will not change. The league is a marathon, not a sprint; we lost this battle, but the war is far from over; we will return to the drawing board, review the situation, and believe that the right decisions are being made”

“I understand that the fans are dissatisfied, as are we, the Board of Directors, who are investing our money and time, however, I will appeal to them to remain calm while we work together with everyone to review why the on-field results do not correspond to the capacity we have as a club” he told Akoma FM in an interview.

Hearts of Oak will travel to Kumasi to face Nations FC, who are in a rich vein of form after shaking off their difficult start to the season.
