Hearts of Oak boss Samuel Boadu praises Konadu Yiadom after scoring on his debut

Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu, has eulogized new signing Konadu Yiadom after scoring on his debut for the club on Sunday.

In the matchday 2 games of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, the Phobians hosted their city-rivals.

The former WAFA captain made his debut for the club as they shared the spoils with Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Yiadom scored in the 90th minute of the game to secure a point after Abdul Razak Yussif had given the Wonder Club the lead after just eight minutes.

Speaking to the media after the game, Boadu lauded the impact of the player who arrived from WAFA during the just-ended transfer window.

“[He was] fantastic. Playing for Hearts for the first time, he did well,” Boadu said.

“He played perfectly but we wish him to do much better than this," he added.

Despite his team suffering relegation, Yiadom was one of WAFA's best performers during the 2021/22 Premier League season, prompting Hearts to acquire his services.

Hearts of Oak will be hosted at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday by Asante Kotoko in the matchday 3 games.
