Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has expressed gratitude to the club fans for the outstanding support despite their abysmal performance in the just concluded Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Phobians retained their top-flight status after a crucial 3-2 victory over Bechem United at the Nana Gyeabour Park on Sunday.

Entering the final day in 15th place with 42 points, just above the relegation zone, the Phobians needed a win to ensure their safety.

The win lifted the Phobians to 14th place on the table, firmly securing their escape from relegation despite earlier fears.

“I want to thank all the fans for the support throughout the season. They have always been there for us in good and bad times. Without the fans, we don’t have a team. We need them every time and every moment” he said.

Hearts of Oak will reflect on their performances, identify areas of improvement, and strive to battle for the Ghana Premier League title next season.
