Hearts of Oak defeat Asekem FC 2-1 in a friendly encounter

Hearts of Oak on Thursday afternoon posted a 2-1 win over Asekem FC in a friendly encounter.

The match between the Ghana Premier League side and the lower-tier club is part of a plan being used by head coach Kosta Papic to improve his team.

On the matchday, Isaac Mensah and Patrick Razak scored for Hearts of Oak to ensure the team triumphed over the opponent.

The win is the second in two days with the Phobians recording a 4-1 win over a Tema Select Side on Wednesday.

The Accra-based club currently sits 8th on the Ghana Premier League standings and keen on picking up maximum points from upcoming matches to climb higher.

Up next for the team, they will face off with Bechem United on matchday 6 of the ongoing campaign when the league continues after the festive break.
