Hearts of Oak defender Michael Ampadu reacts after defeat on his debut against Real Tamale United

Hearts of Oak defender Michael Ampadu has expressed his disappointment following his outfit defeat against Real Tamale United in the Ghana Premier League.

The enterprising right-back who joined the Phobians in the just ended transfer window was handed his debut against the Pride of the North in the domestic top-flight opening day.

Hearts of Oak, who had a brilliant pre-season scoring over 30 goals, suffered a surprising defeat to RTU last Friday at the Aliu Mahama Stadium with Owusu Afriyie scoring a late winner for the home side.

“We win together, we lose together. Better luck to us in our next game. Not the debut I expected but we never say die until the bones are rotten” he tweeted.

Hearts of Oak will be looking to bounce back in their upcoming matchday two fixture as they host Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Sports Stadium next week.

The disappointing start to the season has likely fueled their determination to show their fighting spirit alongside their footballing skills.
