Hearts of Oak defender Nuru Sulley wants club to terminate contract

Hearts of Oak defender, Nuru Sulley is pushing to have his contract terminated over the lack of playing time.

Speaking to Happy FM, the experienced defender says he has been left frustrated and in pain for the decision by the coach not to give him chances to play.

“The fun and excitement is no longer there, it’s very hurtful but like they say, not everything I can tell you. It’s very painful I find myself in such a situation. I could wake up at dawn and cry a lot, it really worries me. I came back here to play regular football and a player of my caliber is denied the opportunity to be on the field and express my talent and technical gift,” Nuru Sulley shared.

The defender continued, “I’ve thought a lot about it and I can’t find the brain behind this unwarranted treatment which seems like a plan to end my career. It’s been almost eight months and I’ve never played football for the club I’ve always loved. However, I give my all during training sessions. What then is my use in the team if I can’t be playing football matches. I always ask myself whether they would’ve given the same treatment to me if I should’ve been their fellow brother. The best thing is for the club to release me and for me to find a club who needs my talents. All these drama and conflicts is not needed.”

The former Naft Al-Basra SC made 16 appearances for Hearts of Oak last season to help the team to win the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League title.

Unfortunately, he has not had the opportunity to play this season.
