Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Inkoom honoured to have played with Asamoah Gyan

Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Inkoom has paid tribute to former Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan following the announcement of his retirement from football.

Gyan announced his retirement from football at the 30th Afreximbank Annual Meeting held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Tuesday.

Following the news of Gyan’s retirement, Inkoom, who shared the dressing with the legendary forward during their days with the Black Stars has taken to social media to pay his tribute.

“It's been an honour playing with this great man-- a legend that many across the world have come to love.

His love and dedication for Country is one that no one can dispute! He truly has left an indelible mark in the history of Ghana Football. Much Respect” he tweeted.

With 51 goals, he holds the record for the most goals scored by a Ghanaian player and is the country's second most-capped player.
