Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak are yet to pay a combined $12,000 (GHs 110,000) compensation to former coaches Hamza Obeng and Eric Amponsah after the December 30 deadline elapsed.

The Phobians terminated the contract of assistant coach Hamza Obeng and Eric Amponsah (Goalkeepers coach) last year despite helping the club to chalk success.

The duo wrote to the Ghana FA demanding for a compensation fee for breach of contract, where the Phobians were given a 14-day ultimatum to settle the fee.

But according to Hamza Obeng, the Ghanaian giants has default in compensating them after the Ghana FA ruling.

The two coaches will now go back to the Ghana FA to enforce the decision of the Player Status Committee.

“Hearts have still not settled us our monies after the player status committee ruling. The 14-days ultimatum was due on 30th Dec 2022.The Hearts administrator called me to suggest a different payment plan but we asked for us to go by the verdict of the FA status committee.” he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

Hamza Obeng signed a three-and-half-year deal with the former African champions but was shown the exit door following unflattering results.

He won five major titles for the Phobians in 18 months.
