Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has shifted his attention to the MTN FA Cup final after losing sights on the Ghana Premier League title.

The reigning league champions currently trail league leaders Kotoko by 12 points with six games to end the season.

Hearts of Oak are on 44 points after 28 matches, whiles perennial rivals, Kotoko are at the summit of the league log with 56 points.

Speaking after his side 3-2 win over Dreams FC, Barnieh, who has been outstanding this season says the Phobians chances of losing the league title is high and has therefore shifted attention to the FA Cup final.

“I think we’ve lost one trophy, though the league is not yet over but if you calculate the matches left and the points, I will say the probability of we losing one trophy is higher”

“So, we’ve talked to ourselves and have decided to maintain the FA Cup trophy. The mentality now is to defend the FA Cup title”

Hearts of Oak will take on Bechem United in the MTN FA Cup final.
