Hearts of Oak forward Kofi Kordzi hopeful of qualification despite narrow win against Wydad Casablanca in first leg

Hearts of Oak striker Kofi Kordzi is hopeful about his side qualification to the money zone of the CAF Champions League despite a slim advantage over Moroccan giants, Wydad Athletic Club.

The Phobians goes into the reverse fixture with a 1-0 advantage and will hope for a favourable scoreline to secure qualification to the group stages for the first time in many years.

The winner of both legs will progress to the group stages with the loser dropping to the CAF Confederations Cup.

Speaking before their departure to Morocco, Kofi Kordzi said they return to the West African country with smiles in their faces after the return leg on Sunday.

“We will return to Ghana with smiles on our faces. Our fans should not worry at all” he said.

Hearts of Oak have arrived in Morocco with a 24-man squad ahead of the much-anticipated clash on Sunday.
