Hearts of Oak head coach Slavko Matic was full of praise for his players after their 2-1 win against Bibiani Gold Stars on Saturday.

The Serbian tactician took charge of his first league match yesterday in a home game played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Following a difficult start to the game, the host trailed after the first 10 minutes after a goal from Prince Owusu Kwabena gave Bibiani Gold Stars the lead.

Thanks to goals from Isaac Mensah and Gladson Awako in the second half, Hearts of Oak managed to come from behind to record a crucial win.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Slavko Matic accused the opponent of wasting time while applauding the character shown by his players.

“You saw Bibiani from first minute they start to waste time. Anti-football, they started wasting our time. We didn’t play today 40 minutes total, anti-football. I think football win today and the character of my players,” coach Slavko Matic shared.

The Serbian tactician after the game also called on the supporters to continue backing the team.
