Ghana Premier League powerhouse, Hearts of Oak are set to reappoint Japanese trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi as head coach, the local media have reported.

The Phobians are without a head coach since Serbian gaffer Slavko Matic was forced away by fans ahead of the Super Clash against Asante Kotoko, a game the Phobians recorded a 1-0 win.

David Ocloo is currently in charge of the club as interim coach.

According to reports, the former Inter Allies trainer will arrive in Ghana in the coming days to conclude his return to the club.

Yatsuhashi was a fans favourite in his first spell in charge of the club but left the Phobians after a year in charge.

He moved to Nigeria to coach Ifeanyi Ubah before returning to Ghana in 2017 to take over relegated Allies as head trainer.

The former Aspire Academy trainer currently works with the Dortmund Soccer Academy.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak are set for a strong finish to the season after closing the gap between them and league leaders Aduana Stars to three points with a victory over Accra Lions.

Hearts of Oak will be hosted by Dreams FC in the matchday 25 game at the Theatre of Dreams.
