Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo urges patience for coach Martin Koopman

Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo has urged the club to be patient with coach Martin Koopman despite sloppy start to the season.

The Phobians has been in a dismal form after four games into the Ghana Premier League campaign, losing two, drawing one and winning one in the process.

The Dutch coach had overseen a successful pre-season campaign, during which the team secured significant victories and scored over 30 goals.

However, this pre-season success has failed to translate into the league, with Hearts of Oak managing only one win in four games.

Despite the club’s struggles, the former Ghana midfielder asserted the Dutch trainer will need more time to deliver for the club.

“I would urge all the supporters to be patient with the coach,” Polo emphasized during an exclusive interview on Happy FM.

“What he needs now is their support. He needs time. If he can’t change things around, then they should let him go. Looking at the team, it is full of youthful players, and I’m sure they would not want to replicate what happened last season when they were almost relegated. Let’s give them time.”
