Hearts of Oak management impose players on coach Samuel Boadu – Samuel Anim Addo reveals

Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association Samuel Anim Addo has slammed Hearts of Oak’s management for influencing coach Samuel Boadu’s decisions at the club.

The Phobians have been dumped out of the CAF Inter-Club competition after losing heavily to JS Saoura in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup play-offs on Sunday.

Domestically, the rainbow boys have not fared well losing one and drawing three in their first four matches into the Ghana Premier League season.

A session of the Hearts of Oak fans has blamed the former Medeama coach for the clubs struggle at the moment.

But in an interview with Accra-based Asempa FM, Anim Addo, who doubles as manager of Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan disclosed management influences the coach decisions.

“Whoever planned that trip for Hearts of Oak has let Ghana down. He has caused financial lost to the country. They did it in the other game too. Dr Randy Abbey who was the leader of delegation advised them but they declined and went on a different flight. Randy Abbey didn’t travel with them to Dubai. After the Morocco experience, they didn’t learn from it” he said.

“After all these, they are apportioning blames to the coach, what should he do? He quizzed.

“There are a lot things happening in the team, players are being influenced on him and a whole lot, Boadu is my coach, he talks to me and I can tell you he is not happy. Now he is under pressure because of poor plan” he added.
