Former Hearts of Oak man Mohammed Polo has stated that the club's management is not focused.
The Phobians have not clinched a league title in 11 years and have struggled to make an impact in Africa in the last few seasons.
Due to this, Polo has been critical of the club.
“Hearts of Oak should have been better by now and be on top,” he told Ashh FM.
“We failed anytime we go to Africa and our management did not know what to do until Ato Ahoi, TT Brothers and co came to help and we thought they were going to continue but they were sidelined for another management and since then hearts have been suffering”
“The young once that are being given the chance to manage the team is destroying the team they do not have enough experience”
“The new directions they are taken the team to is very bad”, He said.
“Our current chairman is a man of good vision and he is someone who wants the team to reach somewhere but the management he has been choosing to do the work have failed him.”
“Comparing teams like TP Mazembe, Zamalek and co to Hearts of Oak then they are a total failure”
“The management that has been managing the club comes with their stomachs, they are not working because they love the club and are ready to die for the team."
"They are not focused at all.”
Polo added; “The management is not consistent in even choosing coaches just recently, Coach Odoom has been working hard to help the team and they brought in a white coach who when he came said he can’t work with Odoom but the management imposed Odoom on him which is not right.”
“If he was going to be the coach then why don’t you give him the chance to choose his assistant coach that he can work with.”
“It pains a lot when hearts have not won any trophy for about 10 years now and I was the last coach that brought them close to Africa cup qualifier in 2014/15 season”.
