Hearts of Oak must bury their chances if they want to win GPL title - Bashir Hayford

Legon Cities head coach, Bashir Hayford has tasked Hearts of Oak to bury and improve their goal-scoring chances upfront to be able to win the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

His comments come after his side suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Phobians on Thursday night in the matchday 30 games at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite the defeat, the veteran trainer said Hearts of Oak need to sharpen up in front of goal to be able to end their 11 years trophy drought.

"Hearts of Oak are capable of winning the title this season but I'll advise them to take care of their finishing and also they should double up in the final minutes of every game," Hayford said after the game.

"We could have created a problem for them in the second half if there were more minutes to be played. Hearts of Oak is a good team but they should work on their finishing," he added.

Hearts of Oak reclaimed their top spot on the season's league log with 56 points.

The Phobians will host their bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday in the matchday 31 games at the Accra Sports Stadium.
