Hearts of Oak need a committed team doctor, says ex-general manager Bernard Gyebi

Resigned Hearts of Oak Acting General Manager, Bernard Gyebi has proposed a number of things he believes the club needs to prioritise.

Speaking to Asempa FM in an interview, he stressed that among other things, the Phobians need to hire a committed team doctor who will be available at all times to take care of players.

According to him, that is what professional clubs do and Hearts of Oak need to do the same.

“Accra Hearts of Oak needs a competent Team doctor, you need a committed team doctor. You can’t have a team doctor who doesn’t come to training and games as well,” Bernard Gyebi said.

In the interview, the resigned Acting General Manager also urged the Accra-based club to employ a better system to take care of the welfare of players.

“If we call ourselves a professional club then Hearts needs to change their player welfare system,” Bernard Gyebi said.

Bernard Gyebi only resigned from his position this week after working as the Acting General Manager of Accra Hearts of Oak for just four months.
