New Hearts of Oak defender Michael Awuah Mensah is focused on helping the club to reclaim their lost glory.

The Phobians narrowly avoided relegation following a 3-2 comeback win over Bechem United on the final day of the Ghana Premier League last season.

Their disappointing performance in the recently concluded campaign saw the Ghanaian giants finish 14th on the table.

Speaking in an interview, the former Nations FC defender expressed eagerness to contribute to the club success following recent setbacks.

“I have my personal target. I want to help Hearts of Oak to reclaim lost glory. I will repay the club after spending huge sums of money to sign me. I’m ready to give my all at the club” he said.

The defender recently secured a move to Hearts of Oak from Nations FC following an impressive performance last term.

He penned a three-year deal with the Accra-based club and is expected to play a huge role for the team next season.
