Hearts of Oak players are lazy, says Board Member Dr Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe

Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, Board Member of Hearts of Oak has taken a swipe at the playing body, describing them as 'lazy and aged'.

The Phobian club were poor in the just-ended 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

Having won domestic treble last season under Samuel Boadu, the Rainbow club struggled to replicate the same level of performance.

Hearts of Oak finished 6th with 48 points. Despite their struggle, the Phobians defeat Bechem United to defend their FA Cup title at the Baba Yara Stadium.

But Dr. Tamakloe speaking in an interview expressed his frustrations over the playing body's poor performance.

According to him, the players appear to be indisciplined, lazy, and aged.

“I have a problem with Hearts of Oak's technical direction of the club, most of the players appear to be indisciplined in the team and are either aged or lazy," Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe told Accra-based Angel FM.

With the club set to represent the country in the CAF Confederations Cup next season, Dr. Tamakloe questioned the tactical prowess of the technical team led by Samuel Boadu.

He stressed the need to replace Boadu ahead of their Africa campaign.

“I strongly have my doubt that the technical team can do well in Africa. Hearts of Oak is a big club and must always be in the hand of a big coach like Attiquayefio.

"I believe the current technical team can’t carry us far," he added.
