Ghana Premier League outfit Hearts of Oak is reportedly on the verge of securing the services of a Dutch trainer as the head coach for the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, as reported by Ghanasportspage.com.

According to the website, the Dutch coach is expected to touch down in Ghana over the weekend, a step toward finalizing his appointment.

The club had previously been engaged in advanced negotiations with Tunisian coach Nabil Maaloul, but unfortunately, both parties were unable to reach a mutual agreement.

Notably, Dutch football strategist Rene Hiddink was recently unveiled as the technical director for Hearts of Oak. It is believed that Rene Hiddink played a pivotal role in recommending the incoming coach to the Ghanaian giants.

Hearts of Oak has been preparing for the forthcoming season, with their pre-season activities currently in their ninth day.

The team has been actively reinforcing its squad ahead of the anticipated start of the new season in September.
