Hearts of Oak saddened by the passing of Opoku Afriyie and Kwesi Wusu

Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak has stressed that they are saddened by the passing of former Black Stars greats Opoku Afriyie and Kwesi Wusu.

The two players who are celebrated in the football fraternity and the country as a whole passed away in the last 24 hours. While Afriyie joined his ancestors on Sunday, Wusu kicked the bucket today.

In a post on Hearts of Oak's Twitter page today, they have expressed their condolences to the families of the Ghanaian legends.

The post said: “Hearts of Oak is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our former player, Opoku Afriyie and another national hero, Kwesi Wusu. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families in these difficult times”.

Opoku Afriyie and Kwesi Wusu pass away as legends and will be remembered forever for playing their role for the Black Stars.
