Hearts of Oak sign attacker Benjamin Yorke until 2026

In the ongoing transfer window, Ghana Premier League and FA Cup winners Hearts of Oak have officially signed talented attacker Benjamin Yorke from Division One League club Samartex FC.

After completing a mandatory medical examination at Barnor Memorial Hospital in Accra today, the 21-year-old signed a five-year deal with the Phobians.

Yorke, on the other hand, will not participate in Hearts of Oak's next CAF Champions League qualification round due to the club's failure to finalize the transaction in time before submitting their final squad-list to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Yorke has been excellent on the pitch since breaking into the starting lineup, scoring 7 goals to finish as Samartex's top scorer in the NC special tournament in 2019 and replicating the same performance in zone two of the just concluded Division One League.

In the just concluded Division One League zone two season, the Ghana U23 star scored twelve goals for Samartex FC.

The youngster was a member of the Black Stars B squad that failed to qualify for the last CHAN competition in Cameroon.
