Hearts of Oak supporters storm club headquarters over recent happenings

Angry supporters of Hearts of Oak have locked up the club’s secretariat as part of their protest on the current happenings at the club.

The supporters led by the NCC Chairman Elvis Herman Hesse held a press briefing at the secretariat on Wednesday morning as they demanded some changes from the Board.

According to him, they want the dissolution of the board, an appointment of a Chief Executive Officer and want an appointment of a local coach or face the wrath of the supporters.

In the statement made, all relevant stakeholders should be involved in the appointment of the new CEO and the local coach.

"The NCC demands the immediate appointment of a first-team coach," Elvis Herman Hesse said.

"This should be done in consultation with all the stakeholders. We have realized that the expatriate coaches have not helped the clubs for the past decade.

"We will not hesitate to take any action when an expatriate coach is appointed. The NCC wants to be involved in who becomes the next Chief Executive Officer and a local coach".

The club is currently in crisis following the mass resignation. The whole technical team has resigned from their post.

Head coach Kosta Papic, deputy coach Asare Bediako, Equipment Officer Alhassan and goalkeeper's trainer Ben Owu have all left their roles.

Reports gathered suggest that the Secretariat is currently under lock and will be opened at 2pm.
