Hearts of Oak talisman Joseph Esso faces late fitness test after picking up knock in training

Hearts of Oak talisman Joseph Esso will have to pass a late fitness test before being considered for selection after picking up a knock in training on Friday at the Pobiman training grounds.

The Phobians will welcome Asante Kotoko to the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday in their match day six encounter of the on-going Ghana Premier League.

According to reports, Esso failed to complete the team’s last training and was left out for the rest of training schedules.

The 23-year-old was attended to by the medical team without any immediate decision taking on the extent of the knock.

He will undergo further checks on Saturday to check the severity, however, he will give be given the chance to prove his fitness levels ahead of Sunday’s game.

Hearts of Oak have recovered from their abysmal start to the season where they lost their first two games which led to the sacking of Kim Grant but have been able to pick up seven points out of a possible nine points in their last three games.
