Hearts of Oak midfielder Glid Otanga is confident about his outfit chances in the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Phobians endured a torrid campaign last term, finishing 12th on the Ghanaian top-flight standings at the end of the campaign.

The domestic top-flight will commence this weekend, with Hearts of Oak expected to take on Real Tamale United in an away fixture at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Having wrapped up their preseason with a deserving 2-0 win over Ghana Premier League newbies, Nations FC on Sunday at the Kpobiman Complex, the Congolese midfielder has expressed optimism about his side making a huge impact in the forthcoming season.

Otanga started the game before he was replaced in the second half by Nurudeen Aziz who eventually broke the deadlock for the Phobians.

“Is not about a player who wants to play, it’s all about team work. The team isn’t about one player. I might play and I won’t score but another player will come and score”

“It’s a collective work. I can go and another player will join the club. We have a good team and good staff this season and we work hard, so I think we will go far this season”

The Phobians are seeking another Ghana Premier League title triumph in the new season after going drought in the previous campaign.
