Hearts reject Foovi Aguidi signs for Bahraini club Al Ahli Manama

Former Hearts of Oak striker Foovi Aguidi has managed to surprisingly secure a deal with Al Ahli Manama in the Bahraini league on the back of two disappointing years in the Ghana Premier League.

The burly Togolese international was released by Hearts after his two-year contract came to and end.

"It's a good challenge. The past season has been difficult with the Phobians and it is an opportunity to express myself better elsewhere", Foovi told Africatopsports in Togo.

Foovi hopes to re-launch his career with his new move and regain a call-up to the Togolese senior national team.
