Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has flown to Portugal to help Marcos Rojo over his injury recovery.

Herrera made the beeline from holidaying at home in Spain with his family.

Rojo suffered a serious knee ligament injury in the Europa League quarter-final against Anderlecht last season, and is not expected to be fully fit until September.

But he has the backing of his teammates, and Herrera caught up with Rojo in Portugal, providing some words of encouragement.

Posting a picture of the pair to Instagram from Vilamoura, the Basque midfielder wrote: "I am so happy to see that your recovery is going well, hopefully this visit gives you even more energy."
