Hertha Berlin deny Hoffenheim chance to move joint top

Hoffenheim forward Andrej Kramaric shows his frustration during the draw with Hertha.

Hoffenheim missed the chance to regain a share of pole position in the Bundesliga on Sunday, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Hertha Berlin.

Sandro Wagner's sixth-minute header, from Andrej Kramaric's cross, put Hoffenheim on course for their third successive home win.

However, Alexander Esswein equalised for the capital club 10 minutes into the second half.

It denied Hoffenheim three points which would have seen them rejoin Hannover at the top of the table and gave Hertha, who struggled away from home last season, their first point on the road in 2017-18.
