HIGHLIGHTS: Rwanda 0-7 Ghana – Black Queens show class to complete demolition exercise in Kigali

The Black Queens of Ghana put on a commanding performance on Wednesday afternoon to beat Rwanda 7-0 in Kigali.

The two women’s national teams of the two countries locked horns today in the first leg encounter of the tie in the qualifiers for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Doris Boaduwaa scored a header through a corner from skipper Portia Boakye in the 2nd minute of the game to give Ghana the lead.

Evelyn Badu added the second goal in the 9th minute after receiving a perfect pass from midfield.

Black Queens passed well drawing out their opponents who were sitting deep.

Princella Adubea scored Ghana's third goal via a header after an excellent run and a cross from Justice Tweneboaa in the 28th minute. Ghana attacked more from the right side of the field.

Ghana had a chance to score again but Evelyn Badu was flagged offside.

After the break Rwanda launched some attacks against Ghana but the back line of the Black Queens stood firm to stop the attacks.

Ghana made it 4 through Alice Kusi in the 52nd minute. Evelyn Badu played a perfect pass to Doris Boaduwaa who dummied her marker before playing a pass to Kusi.

Rwanda had a 2 v 2 opportunity in the 62nd minute but the shot was calmly saved by goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan.

Evelyn Badu scored her second and Ghana's 5th in the 64th minute. Badu hit a low shot from the edge of the box.

One minute later Ghana got a penalty and Jennifer Cudjoe stepped up and missed wide to the left side.

Anasthesia Achiaa scored a wonderful volley from the edge of the box after a howler from Rwanda's goalkeeper in the 75th minute.

Mary Amponsah scored in the 78th minute but the goal was canceled for offside.

Anasthesia Achiaa made it 7-0 in the 86th minute her second goal in the encounter. She received a back-heel pass from Doris Boaduwaa and delivered a fantastic cross which landed in the net.
